About Garden*Hood
Garden*Hood is a garden center in Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed at 353 Boulevard SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, which places it among the local businesses of Atlanta that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as plant nursery, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In Atlanta, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Georgia, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Garden*Hood at (404) 880-9848; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, gardenhoodatlanta.com.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 191 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded garden centers in Atlanta.
Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I wanted to share my experience today because, although it did not start off well, Halley completely turned it around for me. When I first came in, there was an employee in uniform speaking with a couple of customers. I understood that she was assisting them, so I waited patiently. However, as their conversation appeared to be wrapping up, I expected that at some point I would at least be acknowledged. That never happened. I was clearly looking around as someone who was unfamiliar with the store and needed assistance. The employee walked past me without saying hello, asking if I needed help, or even acknowledging that I was there. She eventually went toward the register area and continued interacting with other customers, while I remained standing there waiting for assistance. I donβt expect an employee to immediately drop what theyβre doing when another customer walks in. I do, however, believe that a simple βHello, Iβll be with you shortlyβ or βLet me know if you need any helpβ is basic customer service. Unfortunately, I was left with the very strong impression that this employee simply did not want to assist me. Then Halley came inside from the nursery area. She immediatel

My first time here BUT definitely won't be my last. Love the vibe and the people. Beautiful plants/flowers/shrubs/trees/herbs. The staff is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about your planting needs and they even offer home consultation services. Will be getting all my plants from here in the future. πͺ΄π±πΏπ΅π΅βοΈ

Absolute perfect gem hidden in the city. Theyβve got amazing plants. If you need more gardening tools, not your spot. Stop by ACE down the street. But one of the best plant shops in Atlanta for me.

I live in Summerhill and found out about this place after a box store did not really have what I needed. Halley was super helpful. I showed her the space I was working with and my vision and she helped me pick the appropriate plants. It looks amazing. I will support them from now on. Thank you!
